Terms and Conditions

Note that these terms and conditions are accepted during customer sign up. You must read these in detail. By signing up, making payment, and moving your contents in to Walker's Self Storage, you are accepting these terms and conditions.

Contract type: This is a monthly recurring contract that can be cancelled at any time and runs continuously until cancelled.

Notice period: Notice can be provided at any time. No further charges are made after notice is provided and Customer will have access to their unit until 11pm on the one month anniversary of their last payment. There is no reimbursement for unused days.

Customer (Lessor) owns or is authorised to store the Goods.

Storage fees must be paid in advance and on time.

If you fail to comply with the conditions of this agreement, Walker's Self Storage have certain rights which include the right to cancel access to your unit, to seize and sell and/or dispose of your goods.

Customer (Lessor) must keep the unit secure.

Customer (Lessor) must not store hazardous, dangerous, illegal, stolen, perishable, environmentally harmful or explosive goods.

Customer (Lessor) must check the unit is suitable for storing the Goods.

Customer (Lessor) must place their own insurance for the protection of their property while on leased premises. Goods are stored at your sole risk. 

Walker's Self Storage may use and share your personal and other data in certain circumstances subject to all applicable privacy laws and Company privacy policies.

Monthly Rent Payments
All rent shall be paid on the first of each month in advance at the monthly rate specified in the Lessee’s contract. This includes the month that storage is ended. No reimbursement will be given for unused days.

Security Deposit
The Lessee agrees to post a security deposit in the amount of $100.00 dollars with the Lessor which shall not be used as a prepaid rent. Such security deposit shall not bear interest and shall be returned to the Lessee upon the termination of this lease provided that all provisions of this lease have been properly performed by the Lessee. A minimum $50.00 cleaning fee will be assessed if the unit is dirty or in need of repair at contract termination. If rent is not paid on or before the first day of each month, a $15.00 late charge is due. An additional $15.00 late fee will be charged if payment is not received 15 days after the due date.

Key Pass
The Key Pass (Fob) shall be returned to the Lessor upon the termination of this agreement. Failure to do so will result in a $25.00 charge to cover the cost of the key pass (Fob).

Term
The rental of the self storage unit shall be on a month to month basis, and may be terminated by the Lessee providing advance written notice of no less than 30 days. No reimbursement will be given for unused days.

Conditions of Leased Premise and Disclaimer of Warranties
The Lessee, by the execution of this lease, acknowledges that the premises are in excellent condition and accepts same as such and and agrees that at the end of the said term of the lease to deliver up and surrender the said leased premises to the Lessor in as good as condition as when received, reasonable wear and tear thereof accepted. It is specifically understood that the Lessor makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the leased premises or related service, and the Lessee is relying solely on his/her inspection and the evaluation of the leased premises as the basis for his/her decision to enter into this lease. The Lessee agrees to use reasonable diligence in the protection and care of the leased premises during the occupancy and will keep the leased premises free from any rubbish, obstacles, and nuisances. The Lessee will make no alterations of the Lessor's property or fixtures. No holes shall be drilled in the walls or floors and no unauthorized additional electrical usage will be allowed.

The Lessor reserves the right to change any storage room rates, with 30 days prior written notice to the Lessee. The Lessor has the right to establish or change hours of operation or to proclaim rules and amendments, or additional rules and regulations for the safety, care, and cleanliness of the premises, or the preservation of good order at the facility. The Lessee agrees to· follow all of the Walker’s Self Storage rules currently in effect, or that may be put into effect from time to time. The Lessee's access to the premises may be conditioned to any manner deemed reasonably necessary by Walker's Self Storage to maintain order on the premises. Such measures may include, but are not limited to, requiring verification of customer's identity, limiting hours of operation, and requiring the Lessee to sign in and sign out upon entering or leaving the premises.

Insurance
The tenant/Lessee must put in place his/her own insurance for the protection of his/her property against loss, theft, or any other damages while on the property of Walker’s Self Storage (division of the Walker’s/Capital Group of Companies Limited).

All executed contracts constitute agreement of the Lessor and the Lessee to the foregoing Terms & Conditions of the Lease-Rental Agreement.
